The Valley Reunion: Part Two Recap

The reunion for the second season of The Valley, and the first of the series, continued on Tuesday. Part two of the reunion started where last week off, with Jax and Brittany rehashing their relationship, mainly Jax’s substance abuse and anger issues. The conversation shifted toward Jesse and Michelle’s messy divorce, then to Danny’s behavior when he drinks and his and Nia’s conflict with Janet and Jason.

Unresolved Feelings

Reunion host Andy Cohen asks Jax and Brittany if they still have feelings for each other. Jax can’t answer and becomes emotional, which serves as an adequate response for the group. Kristen asks why he can’t ever be vulnerable and honest about his feelings. Brittany admits that she didn’t leave Jax because she stopped loving him, but his actions left her with no choice but to end things. She also reveals that her love for him made her cover up his actions and bad behavior over the years, including his coke addiction.

The Truth is Out

For anyone who somehow isn’t aware, Jesse still believes that Michelle cheated on him before they separated. Michelle admits that she did cheat, but that she already told Jesse of camera and that he was trying to ruin her reputation by making her admit it on camera. She then turns the tables on him, alleging he had sex with a married woman after she asked him for a divorce.

A Different Person

Janet’s relationships with Kristen and Zack, and Brittany’s friendship with all three of them was topic of discussion for part two of the reunion. Janet states she would like to move forward with Zack after the drama they’ve had all season, but she needs to see changes in his behavior first. Meanwhile, Kristen claims that her relationship with Janet changed once filming started for season one.

“The Janet that’s there on The Valley is not the Janet that I was friends with, and the second we started filming, I was like ‘who the f*** is this person?” Kristen says at the reunion.

Brittany is once again caught in the middle of the feud. Zack still feels like Brittany is a better friend to Janet than to him, and allows herself to be influenced by Janet. However, Janet claims she never tried to change Brittany’s opinion of Zack.

Like a Brother

Jax attempts to apologize to Danny and Nia for talking badly about them all season, and tells them they don’t have to accept his apology or be his friend. Both have a hard time getting past Jax’s behavior, especially after being there for Jax while he was in rehab. Jax admits they called or texted him regularly to see how he was doing.

“I wanted to be your friend, man. You’re like a brother to me, dude. I cared about you a lot, and defended you a lot,” Danny says to Jax.

Danny continues, “You just took my face, and you dug it in the dirt, and just kept going and going, trying to ruin my character, my name, and my marriage.”

Love the Way You Lie

Danny and Nia are in the hot seat for the rest of the reunion. The conversation turns toward Danny’s drunken behavior toward Jasmine and Melissa at Jax’s Bar during the previous Halloween. Jasmine admits she didn’t believe Danny’s apology at the white.

“Your apology to me felt like s***,” Melissa said to Danny at the reunion.

Things start to get heated between Danny and Jason, then Nia and Janet. Melissa thanks Jason for being there for her during that time, and Jason gets emotional with disgust over Danny’s actions. The rest of the reunion plays out into a screaming match between the couples.

“You’re a clown, dude,” Jason said to Danny.

Janet brings up more allegations of inappropriate behavior by Danny.

“He’s been inappropriate and made women uncomfortable multiple times since. As recently as the Super Bowl,” Janet alleges.

Danny and Nia immediately deny the allegations, and it’s obvious Nia has had enough.

As part two of The Valley season two reunion concludes, Nia says, “Janet, that’s a lie. And you’re really good at lying.
