On this week’s episode of Bravo’s The Valley, Luke finally proposed to Kristen during an unforgettable fishing trip. Jesse clears the air with Aaron, and they form an uneasy truce. Meanwhile, Janet and Jason choose to abstain from the festivities due to their issues with Kristen.
Crazy Ex-Husband
Jesse questions Aaron about the extent of his relationship with Michelle while they were still married. He is upset by how close Isabella has become to Aaron, specifically referencing the time Aaron posted a picture of Isabella on Father’s Day. He asks Aaron, “Did you or did you not cross a line when I was married to Michelle?” Aaron insists nothing was going on beyond texting, and they agree to put the past behind them for the moment. However, Jesse doesn’t believe their relationship was innocent, and still feels Michelle cheated on him.
“In my heart of hearts, I 1000% think they had a physical and emotional relationship before we separated. How else do you explain having a boyfriend two weeks after we separated, while still living in my house,” Jesse said in a confessional.
Michelle feels worried that Jesse’s actions will scare Aaron away.
“I don’t have a choice with Jesse. He’s going to be in my life forever, even when Isabella gets married, and Aaron doesn’t have to deal with him and his toxicity. So, I do get scared that one day Aaron’s going to be like, ‘this is too much’ to deal with a crazy ex-husband,” Michelle says in a confessional.
An Unforgettable Proposal
Luke proposes to Kristen on what was supposed to be a fishing trip with Danny and Nia in attendance. The three of them distract Kristen by telling her to look at the dolphins in the ocean, and Luke gets down on one knee. Kristen turns around, taken aback and overwhelmed with love, and happily accepts.

“Luke is very much my rock. He stands by me; he stands up for me. I love that he’s exactly who he is, and let’s me be exactly who I am. I love how funny he thinks he is, because he’s not. That is my partner in crime. That is my ride or die,” Kristen says in a confessional.

Kristen continues, “This is the easiest yes I’ve ever said.”
“I’m just happy,” Kristen concluded.
A Happy Celebration
Zack plans an engagement party for Kristen and Luke back in Maui, and starts letting everyone know about the proposal. Brittany is as surprised as Kristen about the news. She is over the moon with Joy, but is slightly hurt she wasn’t included in the surprise.
“I cannot help but feel a little bit left out. Kristen is one my very best friends, she’s literary a sister to me, and I would’ve loved to have been there, and been in that moment, and I feel like all these other people knew about it but me. It just doesn’t really make sense to me,” Brittany said in a confessional.
Meanwhile, Janet is happy for the newly engaged couple, but doesn’t intend to partake in the celebrations due to and Kristen’s troubles.
“Now, we left our child for the first time, for the longest we’ve ever left him, for Kristen’s engagement,” Janet says in a confessional.
It seems that, for the time being, Janet is taking the high road and wants Kristen to enjoy her engagement.
“I don’t want Kristen to come out to a celebration where she’s looking around the room and seeing everybody that makes her smile, that she feels like has been supportive of her relationship, and then see me and feel dread,” Janet says in a confessional.
Janet concluded, “Just because Kristen went for my marriage and Jesse and Michelle’s, doesn’t meet she doesn’t deserve to have a happy engagement celebration.”
On a more positive note, the rest of the group meets at Kristen and Luke’s (and Jesse’s) executive suite to get ready for the celebration. Zack made everyone matching shirts with Kristen and Luke’s faces on them for everyone to wear at the party. Kristen is overwhelmed with love and joy the moment she walks in.

Kristen says in a confessional, “I’m really the luckiest girl in the whole world. A trip to Hawaii, a new fiancé, and literally the best friends a girl could ever ask for.”
Kristen concluded with a joke, “I’ve never been so happy that I took a shower in my life.”
