Following an appearance in the 2024 World Series, the New York Yankees have looked like they have slowed down.
The Yankees have had a rough stretch with their pitching as their ace pitcher Gerrit Cole has been ruled out for the season, Max Fried has been the best pitcher for the Yankees earning himself a spot in the 2025 MLB All Star Game.
The Yankees on paper have a dominant list of hitters that individually can dominate the game. Aaron Judge who is likely to be in position for another league MVP, Jazz Chisolm Jr who made an impact with his arrival last year, Giancarlo Stanton who just returned from injury, Paul Goldschmidt who is a former league MVP, and Cody Bellinger who is also a former league MVP.
The Yankees currently are in the midst of competing for the American League Wild Card. they are currently still in contention for the American League East Division but still are a little bit behind for first place.
Possibly a transaction through the trade deadline maybe a way to save the season for the Yankees. With the season already through the halfway point, the Yankees now have to figure out how to rid of this slump.
