The NBA 2024-2025 has officially ended with the Oklahoma City Thunder as the NBA Champions. After the season ends, it marks the start of the NBA free agency and that determines who goes to a new team or who stays with their current team.
So far some of the biggest transactions have been Myles Turner signing a four-year $107 million-dollar contract with the Milwaukee Bucks. Turner going to the Bucks was surprising as it was expected that he was going to stay with the Indiana Pacers after an appearance in the NBA Finals.
Other major signings involved James Harden signing a two-year $81.5 million-dollar contract with the Los Angeles Clippers after an all-star appearance with them. Kyrie Irving signed a three-year $119 million-contract to stay with the Dallas Mavericks. The former NBA champion and multiple time all-star stays on to team up with number one pick in the 2025 NBA Draft Cooper Flagg and Anthony Davis to compete for playoff contention.
Multiple time league MVP LeBron James decided to pick up his player option which would give him 52.6 million dollars for choosing to stay with the Los Angeles Lakers for his 23rd season in the league. LeBron James had been questioned whether this past season would have been his last after already having an extraordinary career.
In the Free Agency market, there are still many players available that may be of interest to a few teams of their service. Hopefully teams find who they are looking for and whoever they pick gives them the best opportunity to compete for a title.
