Bravo’s The Valley continued its second season with another explosive episode on Tuesday. Drama continues to follow the cast, especially Jax, Brittany, Michelle, and Jesse. Jax and Brittany continue to argue over Jax’s erratic behavior, which results in Jax checking into a 30 day rehab facility. Michelle and Jesse continue to fight over custody of their daughter Isabella.
Rock Bottom
Kristen goes over to Jax’s house to check on him after hearing about his altercation with Brittany. She tells him that his feelings are valid, but that doesn’t give him the right to react the way he did. Now, because of his behavior, he’s not allowed to be alone with Cruz. Kristen pleads to him, “You’re not allowed to be around Cruz by yourself. That is f****** terrifying. She continues, “I don’t understand how rock bottom for you isn’t right now.”
Jax gives his side of the story, saying he hasn’t been happy since he was able to see Cruz, and he would “kill to be happy.” He later explains that he hasn’t been the same since his dad died, and feels alone due to his strained relationship with his mom and the fact that his sister doesn’t live in California.
Kristen also lays into Jax for his comments about Brittany’s body, and alleging that he called her fat, even while she was pregnant. Jax denies these allegations, claiming that he loves women who “look like her.” Kristen continued to appeal to him through Cruz, saying “Just because he’s not talking doesn’t mean that he’s not taking some of this in.
Custody Schedule
Michelle and Jesse can’t seem to agree on anything. This week the soon-to-be-divorced couple are at odds over the custody schedule for their daughter Isabella. Michelle claims it’s “her year” to spend the holidays with Isabella, but neither of them want to be without their daughter. Michelle admits in a confessional, “I wish I could tell Jesse to go fuck himself, but we have a daughter and I want the best for her so I keep it all to myself.”
The exes have a heated argument, and both vent in a confessional. Michelle says “Dealing with Jesse Lally is not easy and I know at some point I’ll have to hire a lawyer.” Jesse claims “I’m struggling every single day to balance my work life, my personal life, and my single dad life.”
Michelle also claims that Jesse’s current girlfriend in Orange County is unfaithful, and Jesse calls Vanderpump Rules alum Scheana Shay alum for confirmation. Scheana says Michelle’s claims are true, and that Jesse’s girlfriend “Even told me specifically who.” If you’re wondering, it was “the guy from Baywatch.” Michelle also claims to Brittany and Janet that Jesse’s girlfriend is threatening to sue her.
Janet vs Kristen and Zach
At lunch with Brittany and Jasmine, Janet updates them on her beef with Kristen and Zach. She tells them she apologized to Kristen but still doesn’t forgive Zach. Brittany says she loves them all, but can’t be in the middle because she has too much going on with Jax. She explains in a confessional “We’re adults, we can figure this out.”
Zach and Benji
Things seem to be looking up for Zach in his relationship with Benji. Zach previously thought Benji was being deported back to Canada, but he worked things out with his Visa. However, Benji is still in the middle of a divorce. Zach jokes about his predicament in a confessional, “Maybe I’m choosing drama and I don’t realize it.”
A Dramatic Conclusion
At the end of the episode, Jax and Brittany have an explosive argument over Jax’s out of control behavior when she drops Cruz off for a visit. Jax tells Brittany “You could’ve left years ago”, and she fires back “You are literally a terrible person.” Brittany pleads with him, “You need to get help for yourself and your son. He cannot become a person like you.” She also threatens that if he doesn’t stay the full 30 days, “I’m taking Cruz, getting full custody and putting a restraining order against you.”
The episode ends with Jax leaving for rehab, saying in a confessional, “My name is Jax Taylor and I’m finally admitting I need help.”
The Valley airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock. Watch a sneak peek of next week’s episode below.
