The Valley Weekly Recap: Jax Checks In; More Jesse and Michelle Drama at Janet’s Birthday

This Tuesday’s episode of Bravo’s The Valley once again delivered the drama. As we learned last week, Jax is in a rehab facility seeking help for his addiction and mental health issues, hoping to be a better man for his son. Meanwhile, Jesse and Michelle continue to be the main source of drama this season, and Jesse spreads a rumor about Michelle that further divides the group. It all comes to a head at Janet’s Dave & Busters birthday bash.

A single mother

Before Jax went to rehab, he wasn’t allowed to see Cruz on his own due to his erratic behavior. Now that he’s gone for at least 30 days, Brittany is a single mom mother for the foreseeable future. However, she’s got the support of all her friends. Jason comes to her house after dropping Jax off, followed by Janet and Michelle. Brittany says about Jax in a confessional: “He needs to actually get help. Do it for our son at least”.

Jason leaves to let the girls talk, and Janet expresses her gratitude for her husband before he goes. “I don’t think he would have gone if it weren’t for you”, Janet tells Jason before kissing him goodbye. Brittany then opens up to her Michelle and Janet about her feelings on the situation and plans for the future, which include divorcing Jax and getting full custody of Cruz. “I already told him: filling, restraining order, and custody”.

Tea parties

Jesse invites Kristen and Luke over for breakfast, with coffee, tea, and pastries. Kristen jokes in a confessional, “I’m having a tea party with Jesse. And Isabella’s not here. That’s f***ing growth”. He also tells the couple about his theory that Michelle had been cheating on him two years before their marriage ended, with her current boyfriend, Aaron.

For clarification, Kristen adds, “Just to be clear, the guy that I was talking about Michelle seeing last summer, that’s not Aaron”.

“I’m 90% sure this person was Aaron. If it’s not, she cheated on me twice”, Jesse says in a confessional.

Jesse also lets them know about a group trip he’s planning to Santa Barbara, which he plans to invite Michelle and Aaron to in hopes of keeping the peace. Meanwhile, Janet wants good vibes for her birthday, and continues trying to mend her friendship with Kristen by inviting her to her party. Kristen reluctantly accepts, acknowledging how hard it must have been for Janet to ask her. However, “demonic” Zach doesn’t make the invite list. “As Kristen’s ‘demonic’ friend, I don’t feel like she was going to invite me anyway”, Zach says in a confessional.

Fertility acupuncture

Kristen takes Nia with her to fertility acupuncture, where she goes as part of her journey to getting pregnant. “Sex is fun and all, but when you’re trying to get pregnant, you are on a schedule, and it’s a now or never kind of thing”, Kristen explains in a confessional. Nia wants to be there for Kristen because she can relate what she’s going through, having had similar struggles before having her and Danny’s three kids. “I understand how Kristen feels, and I just want to be there for her”.

Kristen and Luke have struggled with getting pregnant up to this point and even suffered a pregnancy loss before filming. “It was the most difficult thing I have ever gone through”, Kristen explains in a confessional. Kristen expresses her fears regarding her fertility, “I’m very nervous that it might not be in the cards for me at all, and I’m definitely not ready to accept that”.

While Kristen and Nia have a girls day, Luke and Danny spend the day watching Danny and Nia’s kids, giving Luke some practice for the future. Luke confides in Danny that he’s ready to propose to Kristen.

Michelle’s billionaire boyfriend

Jesse creates a rumor in the “boys chat” alleging Michelle is sleeping with a billionaire for $1500 a night, basically calling her a hooker. Danny repeats this rumor to Luke, who repeats it to Kristen, Brittany, and Zach. It’s obvious this secret isn’t staying a secret for much longer, and it all comes to a head at Dave & Busters during Janet’s birthday.

It’s all fun and games

This week, it seems Janet has taken a step back from the drama for her birthday. Not even Jesse and Michelle’s constant drama could rain on her birthday parade. She was like a kid at Disneyland during her birthday party, but I guess Dave & Busters is Disneyland for adults, right?

Brittany lets Michelle know about the rumors Jesse is spreading about her at the party. Michelle denies the rumors, and says, “I just want to f***ing get divorced and never talk to him again”!.

“He is the one who is broke. He is the one who can’t pay for rent”, Michelle continues.

Michelle finishes “He doesn’t pay me $1 of child support”.

The vote

Things don’t go Michelle’s way when she tries to get the group on her side with a vote to have Jesse stay in a hotel during their upcoming trip to Santa Barbara. The majority of the group chooses to have Jesse stay in the house, as he who booked the house and is planning the trip.

Jesse reacts to her proposition in a confessional, “I’m sure Santa Barbara’s going to be a blast”.

Kristen adds in a confessional, “I’m sorry that Jesse called you an escort. But if the rumors are true, then you can afford a really nice hotel in Santa Barbara”, positioning herself on Jesse’s side.

Michelle can’t understand why the group would side against her. “It’s very hurtful. Why don’t my friends see my side? I’m going through just as much as Brittany, if not even worse. Jesse is by far worse than Jax. By far“, Michelle says in a confessional, concluding the episode.

The end of this week’s episode left the group divided and forced to choose sides, which should make things interesting when they’re all under one roof in Santa Barbara next week.

New episodes of The Valley air Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo and stream the next day on Peacock. Watch a sneak peek of next week’s episode before it airs.
