Acres
We arrived at the South Coast of England for our first stop, where a post-hardcore and atmospheric band was formed in 2014. The band, Acres, consists of Ben Lumber, Alex Freeman, Jack Rodgers, and Ash Scott, who are known for their album Burning Throne. The album contains sultry and powerful vocals, neck-breaking rhythms, and addictive melodies that will have you wanting more. From collaborating with Silent Planet to creating a fan favorite song, “My Everything,” the album is an amazing introduction to their sound and getting to know the band through their artistry. That’s not all! They recently released their album The Host, which features their strength in textural ambience and outstanding vocal ranges. The album takes you on a music journey that feels like a horror movie scene where the main character is trying to escape a horrifying nightmare. Don’t believe us. Listen to their newest album from beginning to end, where their alluring voices and mixes will convince you.

Caskets
Let’s head over to the next stop! As we leave the South Coast, we will be taking the scenic route to check out the music scene in West Yorkshire. In 2018, a post-hardcore and alternative metal band from Leeds, England, was formed and released their first single, “Ghost Like You.” From performing as the support act for Bad Omens to signing with SharpTone Records, Caskets worked on their single “Glass Hearts” with their record label, which became their highest-streamed song on music streaming platforms. But who’s behind it all? Let’s do a roll call! The band members of Caskets feature Matthew Flood, Benjamin Wilson, James Lazenby, and Craig Robinson. They are behind the vision and sound of Caskets. After being signed, they released their debut album Lost Souls, where their tracklist consists of major hits like “Lost in Echoes,” “Drowned in Emotions,” and “Hold Me Now.” The album unleashes their amazing dynamic vocal performance for each striking track, with captivating yet catchy lyrics you can easily sing along to. Yet, their talent continues to grow with their sophomore album Reflections and their latest single “Make Me A Martyr.” Their recent song is an amazing introduction to their signature sound of heavy instrumentals, powerful vocals, and emotive meaning within their lyrics. What are you waiting for? Check out “Make Me A Martyr,” and soon enough, you will listen to their entire discography.

Holding Absence
Before the sun sets, let’s head over to our last stop. From leaving England to arriving in Wales, we will check out Holding Absence from Cardiff. Formed in 2015, the Welsh post-hardcore, alternative rock, and emo band has been tearin’ up the music scene. From signing with SharpTones Records to winning the Cardiff Music Awards’ “Best Breakthrough Band,” Holding Absence are no strangers to releasing back-to-back bangers when it comes to their albums. The band’s self-titled album, Holding Absence, is a stellar debut album that demonstrates the image and sound of the band with their emotionally deep lyrics, incredible vocals, and outstanding instrumentals. That’s not all! They released one of the greatest albums and it would be a mistake not to give their sophomore album, The Greatest Mistake of My Life, a listen. The second full-length album consists of fan favorite songs like “In Circles,” “Beyond Belief,” and especially “Afterlife.” Then, they came back even stronger with their third album: The Noble Art of Self Destruction. Holding Absence beautifully crafted the album with the inspiration of a Japanese ceramic mending technique and art style (kintsugi), where they repair broken pottery with lacquer to embrace the flaws, which resulted in the album communicating the message of finding your beauty from within after the hardship. If you think their albums sound amazing, you will be blown away when you hear Lucas Woodland, Scott Carey, and Benjamin Elliott perform live. Trust us. Catch them performing live at Warped Tour (Orlando, Florida) and/or When We Were Young, don’t forget to sing loudly when you see them!
