The Valley Weekly Recap: Welcome to Britt’s; Hurricane Jax is Coming

On this week’s episode of Bravo’s The Valley, Kristen and Luke hosted a housewarming party to celebrate their new place. Luke revealed to Danny that he’s planning on taking a trip to Hawaii with Kristen to propose to her, and trying to keep it a secret to surprise her. At the end of the episode, the gang through a party for Brittany at Jax’s bar, one day before he’s supposed to return from rehab.

Detective Doute

Luke is planning to propose to Kristen during a trip to Hawaii and wants to keep it a secret. However, this doesn’t prove easy due to Kristen’s need for control and desire to always know what’s going on.

“We just have to keep Detective Doute off the case”, Luke says in a confessional.

A Small World

Jesse Lally learns at the housewarming party from Zack’s friend, Jenna, that she used to date Michelle’s current boyfriend, Aaron. Michelle and Aaron weren’t at the party because they were away. Jesse still believes that Michelle cheated on him with Aaron, and is intrigued by Jenna’s confession. According to Jenna, they dated twice, five years ago and once again a year and a half ago. This peaks Jesse’s curiosity, as he believes Michelle was already cheating a year and a half ago.

“I’ve always been convinced that Aaron is the guy, if not one of multiple guys that Michelle cheated on me with. So, this Jen story starts to line up with my timeline”.

Brittany Lets Go

Brittany reveals to the group that her home with Jax is going into foreclosure.

“He can actually ruin my chances of ever buying another home”, Brittany vents to the group.

Brittany continues, “If he doesn’t fix this, I’m ready to fight”, promising to have the last laugh.

However, Brittany still struggles with letting go of Jax. She hosts a get-together at their soon-to-be foreclosed home with the girls and Zack, hoping to cleanse her life, as much as she can, from Jax.

“Those feelings aren’t just going to disappear overnight”, Brittany says about her feelings toward Jax.

Brittany continues “He’s the father of my child, we’ve been together for 10 years. I have built a life with him, and I never in a million years thought that I would be here”.

Brittany is comforted by knowing she’s doing what’s best for Cruz. “As much as it pains me, what’s making me stay strong throughout this is Cruz. Me being happy is going to be so much better for him in the long run”.

Brittany also meets with a divorce lawyer to discuss her options for ending her marriage to Jax. Ultimately, she resolves to proceed with ending her marriage and takes the first step towards divorce by filing. She reveals to the lawyer that Jax was behind on his taxes and about to go to jail, but put that debt on the house, increasing their mortgage more than double.

Michelle Opens Up

Michelle confides about her situation with Jesse to Lala, who knows more than anyone what it’s like to share a child with a regrettable ex. In addition to her struggles with Jesse, she reveals other stuff that’s going on with her family. Her mother has stage four colon cancer, which Michelle has to deal with on top of Jesse.

“I don’t think I have much longer with her”, Michelle confides to Lala.

“It’s been very hard for me because my mom is my best friend, and the one who supports me the most”, Michelle says in a confessional.

Michelle feels like she has been struggling with her issues alone and her friends haven’t been there for her. At the same time, she is frustrated by all the attention Brittany’s been getting from the group, when they’re going through the “same situation”, from Michelle’s point of view.

“I wish that I was getting the same support that Brittany’s getting”, Michelle says in a confessional.

Michelle continued, “I am an amazing friend and I will drop anything and everything if one of my friends needs help or needs something. I am a ride-or-die kind of person, and so, I don’t feel that in return”.

A Fresh Start

Jasmine and Melissa patch things up with Janet and Jason over dinner. Jasmine apologizes for calling Janet a Karen, and Janet clarifies that she doesn’t believe Jasmine is trying to sabotage her marriage. Instead, she thinks that Kristen is behind everything and is out to get her.

“What I’m starting to see is Jasmine’s not the mastermind here. It feels like she is just a mouth for the actual mastermind, which is Kristen”, Janet says in a confessional.

All About Brittany

The group throws a party at Jax’s bar to show their support for Brittany, renaming it Britt’s for the night. Jax is scheduled to return from rehab the next day, so they want her to have one last carefree night. Brittany is taken by surprise and overjoyed with emotion.

“This was the sweetest thing ever. All my friends know how much I’ve been going through, and how much work I put into this bar, so to see that they changed it to Britt’s, and did all this for me just to like, have a good night before Jax gets out tomorrow, I think it’s just amazing. I have the best friends”, Brittany says in a confessional, expressing her appreciation.

Michelle appears to be frustrated, again, by all the attention Brittany is receiving, but doesn’t say anything to her about it. Instead, she confides in Janet, telling her how she feels Brittany receives all the support and no one is there for her. Janet reluctantly agrees, but it’s clear she wants to stay out of it.

“I’m literally going through the same exact thing, if not worse, like where is my support? It just really hurts my feelings”, Michelle shared in a confessional.

Michelle continued, “To go through something so tragic like a divorce, and a sick mother, this is the time that I really need my girls”.

Darkside Danny Returns

Danny and Nia still have tension with Janet and Jason due to the Santa Barbara drama. Danny has a couple of drinks at Britt’s party and appears to be getting sloppy, jumping into a conversation between Janet, Jason, Kristen, and Luke. Janet can’t resist pointing out Danny.

“Obvously, this is Darkside Danny at his finest”, Janet jokes in a confessional.

Nia is disappointed with Danny, but is still angry with Janet and Jason, and decides it’s time for her and Danny to leave the party.

“I am frustrated with Daniel that he kept poking at Janet. But also, like who do you think you are? Why are you coming at my husband? You’re supposed to be our friends, and I just don’t get it. I don’t know why she needs to continue to calm at Daniel or us”, Nia says in a confessional.

Brittany’s Winning

Brittany has a conversation at the bar with Jesse, who is supposed to pick up Jax the next day from rehab. Jesse suggests that the group should be easier on Jax, not to compromise his progress. Brittany feels that if he’s truly better, nothing should be able to set him off.

“When it comes to me and Jax right now, I got him by his balls. I can do worse if I wanted to and I can do less if I wanted to, so he needs to realize that and respect me for my decision that I’m making”, Brittany says to Jesse.

Brittany finishes, “He’s not going to win against me”.

New episodes of The Valley air Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo and stream the next day on Peacock.
